Derived from the Model B3 Chair created by Marcel Breuer, this design perpetuates the ideals of the modernism in its austere form and function. The materials used to fabricate Model B3 Chair achieved a level of mass production that propelled it into modern living. Thus, an underlying theme of reproduction and innovation is echoed by the blueprint format.

Being an advocate of the sport of soccer, I chose to rebrand a local team in my area; the Charleston Battery is a professional USL soccer team based in Charleston, South Carolina. “Calling Out Youth” was an installation I designed to provide youth a voice in regards to the issue of youth unemployment. Through the use of a live interactive blog and whistles, the audience will be able to generate a presence. Motivated by events such as the “Arab Spring” and “Occupy” movements, this installation echoes a deeper failure in society. Ultimately, this installation became an evolving commentary in and outside of the art gallery for youth to be alert, active, and united on the crisis of youth unemployment.
